No More Re-Certification Exams for CELAs
National Elder Law Foundation (NELF)
The ABA's Standing Committee on Specialization approved the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF) Board's proposal to terminate the Re-Certification Exam for Certified Elder Law Attorneys (CELAs) Nov. 10, 2006. The NELF proposal emerged as a key recommendation at the close of the two day retreat of NELF board members in late September. Download full article.

Rolf Nelson elected President of the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF)
Rolf Nelson was unanimously elected President of the National Elder Law
Foundation (NELF) in Washington D.C. at the organization's annual board
meeting April 22nd, 2006.
Nelson, a Minnesota Attorney and the state's first Elder Law Specialist, has served on NELF's Exam Committee, made up of Certified Elder Law Attorneys
(CELAs) from across the nation, for nine years. In 2005 he was elected Exam
Committee Chair.
