Rolf T. Nelson has been engaged in the practice of law in Minnesota since 1967. Since 1984, his practice has increasingly focused on the complex area of asset protection planning for the elderly. In 1996, Mr. Nelson became Minnesota’s first nationally Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA). He earned the CELA designation from the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF), the only certifying agency approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). Mr. Nelson was then asked to serve on the NELF Exam Committee, which writes and grades all national CELA certification exams and did so between 1997 and 2006. He was also invited to serve on the NELF Board of Directors and did so from 2002 to 2008. In 2006 Mr. Nelson was elected President of NELF in which office he served for 2 years.

Authored the Minnesota Environmental Rights Act enabling citizens to bring a lawsuit to
   enforce environmental laws, if public officials fail to do so
For his work in creating higher educational institutions within the state, he was named a "Founder" of both:

Marilyn L. Bluel began working as a legal secretary in 1975. She received her certificate as a paralegal in 1977 from the paralegal program then under the Minnesota State Bar Association. Her legal background includes criminal and personal injury litigation, family law, consumer and bankruptcy law and real estate. Since 1987 Marilyn has concentrated in the area of Estate and Asset Protection Planning with Estate Crafters Attorneys At Law.
